The Camp SMP: Minecraft server

Custom Java plugins, a NeoForge mod and model-driven bosses for The Camp's Minecraft server.

The plugin source is private.

Core plugin
118 classes, ~17K lines
Target
Paper 1.21
Also
A NeoForge 1.21.1 mod
Storage
SQLite

Alongside the web platforms, The Camp runs a Minecraft SMP, and I build the server side of it: the plugins that give it its own progression, the custom items and bosses, and the links to the community's Discord.

The code started as separate plugins for weapon abilities, an ability voucher system and a skin changer. I consolidated them into one plugin, NekomaCore, so abilities, skins and the Enchantress share one database and one set of managers.

    low, mid, legendary, mythic

  4. SQLite

    player and weapon data

Around it

  1. Paper-based server

    1.21

  2. Content

What it does

The parts worth talking about

NekomaCore: abilities, skins and the Enchantress

One plugin of 118 classes (about 17,000 lines) that combines three systems: weapon abilities in four rarity tiers, a skin system with its own GUIs and config, and the Enchantress, where players roll an ability onto a weapon, reroll its stats and apply it with an anvil.

Signature move sets

Beyond the tiered abilities there are hand-written move sets for bows and staves and for themed weapons, such as Iron Fang's Toxic Quake and Dragon Fall, each a few hundred lines of timed effects, particles and damage rules.

Plays well with the rest of the server

Built against the Paper 1.21 API with hooks for the plugins around it: AuraSkills, ItemsAdder, GriefPrevention, Citizens, WorldEdit and PlaceholderAPI. Data lives in SQLite behind a small database layer.

Custom items and bosses

Item definitions for custom weapons and a full armour set, and mob and boss prototypes driven by MythicMobs and ModelEngine, with models prepared in Blockbench.

A NeoForge mod: Admin Titles

A small client-and-server mod for NeoForge 1.21.1. Each player's title is stored as a data attachment, chosen in custom GUI screens, and synced with network payloads in both directions, with commands registered through Brigadier.

Keeping a server healthy

The stack includes Discord chat bridging, CoreProtect rollbacks, scheduled world and plugin backups to cloud storage, automatic restarts and villager lag control. I have archives of world and plugin backups going back to February 2026.
